Junk falls. You move. Score is however long you last. No levels, no saves, no grind — you die, you press space, you are playing again.
The game is inside the file — nothing else to download, nothing to install first. iOS: no standalone build (Apple requires an App Store listing), but the browser version plays the same code.
One screen. One rule.
This is the classic build — the version before characters and powers. A single cream blob, one taunt, no abilities, no voice lines. It is the version that was fun first, kept exactly as it was.
INSTANT RETRY
Death to playing again in under a second. No menus, no loading.
THREE DONUTS
Grab three donuts and the shield takes one hit for you.
IT GETS WORSE
Heavy junk starts hopping around 22 seconds in. Good luck.
Controls
Desktop is keyboard. On a phone you get all three of these, switchable in the corner — the game is landscape only.
DESKTOP
Move, dash, steer with the mouse if you prefer.
PHONE · BUTTONS
On-screen pads either side of the screen, dash in the middle. Nothing to learn.
PHONE · TILT
Hold the phone roughly level and lean. Calibration happens on start.
PHONE · TOUCH
Tap and hold to steer where your thumb is. Swipe to drag the character across. Double-tap to dash.
LANDSCAPE
Turn the phone sideways. The build locks orientation so it cannot flip mid-run.
NO ACCOUNT
No sign-in, no ads, no network. Your best score is stored on the device.
The classic build
Four stills from the version you can download today.
The next version has characters
Six of them, each with one passive and one power on a cooldown — and the junk responds. These shots are from the work in progress. None of it is in the download yet; the classic build above is the whole game today.
Before you ask
Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
The .exe is not code-signed — a certificate costs more per year than the game cost to make. Click More info, then Run anyway. The file is built straight from the source in this repository.
Android will not install the APK
Android blocks apps from outside the Play Store by default. When the prompt appears, tap Settings and allow installs from your browser or file manager, then tap the APK again. The build is self-signed, which is normal for anything not distributed through Google Play.
Where is my best score kept?
On the device, next to the game. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account or network access at all.
iPhone?
There is no iOS build. The game is HTML and runs fine in Safari via the browser version, but Apple does not allow installing a standalone build without an App Store listing.
Can I see the source?
Yes — TegsCode/anvil-panic. The classic build is source-available under a noncommercial licence, so read it, run it and change it for yourself, but don't sell it or publish your own build.
